This is a giclée print of a grey & black silhouette of Edinburgh University. Founded in 1582, Edinburgh University is the sixth oldest university in the English-speaking world, and one of Scotland’s finest. The university is deeply embedded in the fabric of the city of Edinburgh, with its first custom-built building, known as the Old College, (now the School of Law), situated on South Bridge in the heart of the city.

These prints are created by firstly outlining the historical monument to create a silhouette, and then layering that artwork over a section of the specified area on a beautiful old map.

This print measures 17 x 17cm. We have a wide range of these prints covering many iconic buildings, monuments and statues from around our beautiful area of East Lothian, as well many famous landmarks from Scotland and the wider UK. A set of 4 framed Old Map Silhouettes hanging in a square formation (2 x 2) is a very striking design statement to enhance any wall, as are 3 (or 5) hanging side by side. See also our Old Map Collections - a number of Old Map prints together in the one frame.
