This is a giclée print of the silhouette of the Scott Monument, a Victorian Gothic monument to Scottish author, Sir Walter Scott, situated in the centre of Edinburgh. The largest monument to a writer in the world, there are 287 steps to the top, from where you can enjoy breath-taking views of the city and the surrounding countryside.
These prints are created by firstly outlining the historical monument to create a silhouette, and then layering that artwork over a section of the specified area on a beautiful old map.
This print measures 17 x 17cm. We have a wide range of these prints covering many iconic buildings, monuments and statues from around our beautiful area of East Lothian, as well many famous landmarks from Scotland and the wider UK. A set of 4 framed Old Map Silhouettes hanging in a square formation (2 x 2) is a very striking design statement to enhance any wall, as are 3 (or 5) hanging side by side.
