This is a giclée print of the silhouette of iconic Forth Rail Bridge, though its official name is the Forth Bridge, it is most often known Forth Rail Bridge to distinguish it from the Forth Road Bridge(s). It's considered an important symbol of Scotland, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Opened in 1890, it was the longest single cantilever bridge span in the world until 1917 when the Quebec Bridge in Canada was completed. It continues to be the world's second-longest single cantilever span.
These prints are created by firstly outlining the historical monument to create a silhouette, and then layering that artwork over a section of the specified area on a beautiful old map.
This print measures 17 x 17cm. We have a wide range of these prints covering many iconic buildings, monuments and statues from around our beautiful area of East Lothian, as well many famous landmarks from Scotland and the wider UK.
