This is a giclée print of the silhouette of North Berwick Law, also known simply as Berwick Law. It's a conical hill which rises conspicuously from the surrounding landscape. The famous landmark overlooks the East Lothian town of North Berwick and stands at 613 ft above sea level. A whale jawbone has stood there since 1709, the last one having been there since 1933 until it collapsed and was replace in 2008 by a fibreglass replica of the same size.
These prints are created by firstly outlining the historical monument to create a silhouette, and then layering that artwork over a section of the specified area on a beautiful old map.
This print measures 17 x 17cm. We have a wide range of these prints covering many iconic buildings, monuments and statues from around our beautiful area of East Lothian, as well many famous landmarks from Scotland and the wider UK. A set of 4 framed Old Map Silhouettes hanging in a square formation (2 x 2) is a very striking design statement to enhance any wall, as are 3 (or 5) hanging side by side.
