This is a giclée print of the silhouette of The Ribblehead (originally Batty Moss) Viaduct. It carries the Settle-Carlisle Railway over the boggy terrain of Batty Moss, in the Ribble Valley at Ribblehead, North Yorkshire. The viaduct, built by the Midland Railway in 1870, has 24 majestic arches and stands at over 100ft tall.
These prints are created by firstly outlining the historical monument to create a silhouette, and then layering that artwork over a section of the specified area on a beautiful old map.
This print measures 17 x 17cm. We have a wide range of these prints covering many iconic buildings, monuments and statues from around our beautiful area of East Lothian, as well many famous landmarks from Scotland and the wider UK. A set of 4 framed Old Map Silhouettes hanging in a square formation (2 x 2) is a very striking design statement to enhance any wall, as are 3 (or 5) hanging side by side.
